Crime might not pay, but it has delivered rich opportunities for some of Australia’s best writers and journalists. Hedley Thomas discusses the inspiration behind his successful podcast The Teacher’s Pet, while Felicity Packard discusses her impressive body of work as a screenwriter of Underbelly and other hits. Catie Gilchrist also brings us tales of murder and mayhem from our convict past as she delves into the very public business of determining death in colonial Sydney through her latest book Murder, Misadventure and Miserable Ends and Rachel Franks shares her knowledge of true crime and popular culture. In conversation with ABC RN’s Paul Barclay. Defining moments is an NMA project in conjunction with ABC RN.
