The majority of our event venues are wheelchair accessible, with extra assistance provided upon request. If you have specific access or support needs, please contact each venue in advance using the details below.

During the four days of the festival (10-14 August), there will be a Canberra Writers Festival reception desk at the entrance to each venue manned by volunteers who are trained to assist you. Please don’t hesitate to ask them for support.

National Press Club of Australia

NPC have wheelchair carpark spaces available. If you drive around to the Darling Street carpark entry, there is easy access via ramp into the main entry of the Club. Once in the building, there is lift access to Level 1 of the Club.

4 National Circuit

Is an accessible building. The Canberra Writers Festival sessions will be held on the ground floor in the main atrium. There’s an accessible bathroom near the front of the building in the Flex by ISPT meetings rooms. While there isn’t any onsite parking, there is a Wilson’s Carpark across the road from the venue with open air accessible parks in front of the Barton. Alternatively, there is a drop off area in front of 4 National Circuit that can be utilised by attendees.

Kambri ANU

All Kambri venues are accessible. There is an underground carpark with disabled spaces that links via lift to festival venues and disabled bathrooms.
