Tom Greenwell is co-author of Waiting for Gonski: How Australia failed its schools, long-listed for the 2022 Australian Political Book of the Year. He is a regular contributor to Inside Story and other publications on topics ranging from education policy to social and political history to the future of news media. Tom teaches History and Politics at Hawker College, Canberra. He is a professional associate of the News and Media Research Centre at the University of Canberra, and has previously worked as a research officer for the Australian Education Union.
